At Peak Performance, our purpose is to convey the spirit of free riding to the world. We believe that there are many ways to descend a mountain – but the best route is always your own. Our equipment is designed to help you unlock this mindset, allowing you to conquer any terrain and any location. From deep powder snow and wilderness expeditions to everyday adventures, we help you turn this journey into your own experience.
Our story began in 1986, on a cable car, Sweden. Two skiing enthusiasts – one of whom was a world-class mogul athlete – raised a question during a conversation: Why is there no ski suit that is both functionally excellent and aesthetically simple? They dreamed of having a piece of clothing that would allow them to stay longer in their beloved mountainous landscapes. This conversation gave birth to an idea: Peak Performance was born.
Initially, it was just a small project for ourselves and friends to make clothing, but it quickly grew. In an era tired of excess, people yearned for authenticity – and our focus on genuine quality resonated. The first mail-order catalog received a large number of orders, so the local post office had to increase its staff. It turned out that people who desired authentic products were not just us.
Despite the company’s continuous growth, the founders never forgot the most important things: the deep connection with the mountains and the relentless pursuit of design and technical solutions. In the early days, if you came to our office in during winter, you might see a sign on the door: “Skiing Off.” This spirit remains at the core of all our actions to this day.
Today, we are still deeply inspired by our hometown. A place known for its forest slides, vast wild snow terrain, and extreme weather – taught us an important lesson: If it can withstand tests, it can handle any environment. From our store in the village square to the mountain, you will see our “Mountain Cabin,” where we continue to test products, ski, and maintain our connection to our roots.
